The Michigan Restaurant Association represents the restaurant industry before the courts, the state Legislature, and state government including the Liquor Control Commission, MIOSHA, and Wage & Hour.
The MRA is the only state-wide trade association in Michigan representing the foodservice industry on issues critically impacting the restaurant industry such as: minimum wage/tip credit, food safety, sanitation, and alcoholic beverage service. In addition to government affairs, the MRA provides ombudsman services by helping members cut through the red tape of state government. Finally, the MRA government affairs department provides members with a variety of information on how to comply with the minimum wage and tip credit laws, MIOSHA rules and regulations, youth employment provisions, the liquor control code and many other state and federal requirements.
