MRA-PAC Achieves 95% Success Rate in November Elections

The Michigan Restaurant Association - Political Action Committee (MRA-PAC) experienced unprecedented results this election cycle. Candidates were
endorsed and supported in state legislative races, Michigan Supreme Court races and the Govemor's race. The support of the MRA-PAC helped 95% of those candidates achieve election night successes. This margin of victory for Michigan restaurateurs is something all contributors to the MRA-PAC should be proud of.

The Michigan Restaurant Association Board of Directors set a goal several years ago to turn the MRA-PAC into a $100,000 PAC. This means that the MRA-PAC would contribute at least $100,000 to legislative and statewide campaigns in a two-year cycle. The MRA-PAC not only reached that goal, but surpassed it by several thousand dollars.

The MRA-PAC supports candidates from both major political parties from a separate fund made up entirely of personal contributions from hundreds of restaurateurs across the state. The MRA-PAC cannot accept corporate contributions. It does not receive any dues revenue or other funds from the Michigan Restaurant Association. Only your support helps the MRA-PAC grow.

The MRA-PAC is governed by a group of restaurateurs from around the state who have contributed to the PAC over the years. After reviewing information about candidates, such as voting records, positions on industry issues,past support of our industry and their campaign, the Committee makes contribution decisions. Input from MRA-PAC supporters is always welcome andessential to the PAC's success.
