The Michigan Restaurant Association recently announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors. Jerry Adams, director of operations for Levy Restaurants at Ford Field in Detroit; Nancy Wollensak Gilboe, director of Metro Detroit sales for Coca-Cola; and Toni Wisne Sabina, owner and president of the Epoch Restaurant Group in Novi.
“These three MRA members bring to the board more than 51 years combined experience with their work in the hospitality and restaurant industry,” said MRA Executive Director Rob Gifford. “The MRA is fortunate to have such driven individuals serving on its board who are dedicated to helping the foodservice and hospitality industry flourish in Michigan. We know Jerry, Nancy and Toni will make great additions to the leadership of this organization, and we’re excited to welcome them aboard.”
Jerry Adams, director of Operations for Levy Restaurants at Ford Field, brings his passion for food, a keen business sense and more than 16 years professional experience to his new position as MRA board member. Chicago-based Levy Restaurants is a privately held company that operates a diverse group of 79 food service locations—including 23 award-winning restaurants such as Spiaggia and Bistro 110 in Chicago—and 56 sports and entertainment destinations including the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and Jacobs Field in Cleveland. The company operates in 35 markets across the country and in Canada.
Nancy Wollensak Gilboe, director of area sales for Coca-Cola in Metro Detroit, joins the MRA board as an allied member of the association. Nancy is no stranger to the foodservice industry, having worked since 1992 for Coca-Cola, the leading manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups, Coca-Cola produces nearly 400 beverage brands and has local operations in over 200 countries around the world.
Toni Wisne Sabina, is owner and president of the Epoch Restaurant Group. She brings to the board a wealth of experience as the head of several fine dining establishments in Metro Detroit, including Too Chez Bistro in Novi, Tribute in Farmington Hills, Forté Restaurant in downtown Birmingham in late 1996, Latitude Restaurant in the exclusive Bay Harbor area in northern Michigan in 1999, and the more casual Knot, just a bar, also located in the Village at Bay Harbor. In 2000, Wisne Sabina expanded into off-premise catering by opening Epoch Events in Novi. |
