MRA Educational Support Foundation Scholarship Program
Each Spring and Fall the Foundation awards financial aid to outstanding
students from across the state through its educational assistance
grant program. The MRA Educational Support Foundation Scholarship
encourages individuals who are pursuing careers in the foodservice
industry. Scholarship awards are based upon MRA member recommendation,
letters of recommendation, academic standing, scholastic record,
employment experience and financial need. Since 1991, we have
provided 100 students with more than $72,000 in scholarship based
financial aid.
Applicants for a MRA Educational Scholarship have a responsibility
to obtain a sponsor and provide the sponsor with the necessary
materials required in order to process your application. Upon receipt of an application, applicants will need to fill it out completely, supply a minimum
of two additional letters of recommendation, their most recent
transcripts and give them to their sponsor for his letter of recommendation
and signature. Deadline dates for submission of an application
are July 1 and November 1.
Note: All materials must be sent to the MRA ESF Scholarship Committee
as a complete package. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Requirements:
- Michigan resident
- Current non-degreed foodservice program undergraduate collegian
- Employee of MRA member facility
- Sponsored by employer
