Over 300 industry leaders and foodservice professionals gathered at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham to celebrate our successes, and recognize those individuals who strive to make our industry better.

Larry Schuler of Schu's Hospitality Group in Stevensville, shared his goals and objectives for his one-year term as president of the Michigan Restaurant Association. Also elected were Craig Heath, HeathCorp Ventures, and Jeff Tuma, The Embers, to vice president and treasurer, respectively.

The MRA's coveted Distinguished Service Award was presented to Bill Roberts of Roberts Restaurants in Birmingham. The DSA award is the highest honor the MRA bestows each year. Selection is based on the nominee's service to the MRA and the Michigan Restaurant Industry. As well as being a past president of the MRA, Bill has served on the board of directors, as a committee chair, and is well respected by his peers.
