Alcohol Server and Manager Training (BarCode)
BarCode is a unique training system that gives your staff the knowledge and confidence to serve alcohol ... Responsibly. With BarCode, your alcohol servers and managers learn how to understand and anticipate alcohol-related situations and how to act on them in a way that will benefit the guest, the server, and your business. Fee: MRA Members $25 per person, Non-Members $50 per person. The fee includes:textbook, reference materials, classroom materials, and 6 hours of in-class training plus testing.

Tips
This program teaches participants about the effects of alcohol and the social and legal responsibilities associated with its service. The seminars include interactive discussion and skills-training exercises. Participants learn to recognize potential problem situations as they arise, and acquire the skills and confidence to intervene in a tactful manner to prevent problems such as underage drinking and drunk driving. Safe Handling of Food Programs
Highly publicized incidents of foodbome illness have threatened consumer confidence in our industry. Reassuring customers of the cleanliness and
safety of foodservice operations is critical to ongoing positive public relations. An affective preventative management tool is sanitation certification seminars which provide students with a working knowledge of foodservice principles. Individuals successfully completing these courses receive the official State of Michigan Department of Agriculture certificate, as well as a National Restaurant Association certificate. What better way to get the word out on the fact that restaurants are good, clean and fun?

HACCP
There is a new Federal Food Code coming which is focused on a new food safety system known as RACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point). This one-day seminar teaches you the three basic food safety principles and the foundation of the HACCP System.

Fee: MRA Members $150 per person, Non-Members $200 per person. The fee includes: textbook, reference materials, classroom materials, and 16 hours of in-class training plus testing.
