ServSafe Alcohol™ Certification What it is The ServSafe Alcohol™ responsible alcohol service program gives restaurant and foodservice industry managers and employees the knowledge, confidence and tools to think and react successfully and responsibly when serving beverage alcohol. This training and certification program is offered through the Michigan Restaurant Association in compliance with MCL 436.1906 of the Michigan Liquor Control Code of 1998. Go to our Certification Schedule to view the current exam dates. MLCC Certification Options 1. ServSafe Alcohol™ Proctor Exam (self-study): There's no need to sit through the class if you have the knowledge! An approved instructor can verify your credentials and monitor your exam. A MLCC accepted wallet card will be provided to those who receive a 75% or higher on their exam. Exams are available every Tuesday, by appointment, at various locations across the state.   • Participant's Exam: 50 questions, must receive at least a 75% to obtain your MLCC accepted wallet card.  Must receive 90% to become an accepted instructor.        MEMBER PRICE: Participant's Exam: $35.00 - Price includes: ServSafe Alcohol™ Participants Guide, Michigan Law Guides & Exam.       NON-MEMBER PRICE: Participant's Exam: $65.00 - Price includes: ServSafe Alcohol™ Participants Guide, Michigan Law Guides & Exam.    Recommendation: Review Michigan Law Guides and Participants Guide at least two weeks prior to testing.  Materials will be mailed upon registration.   2. ServSafe Alcohol Train-the-Trainer Course: You can become an on-site instructor. This class provides industry professionals the opportunity to become certified instructors knowledgeable of the tools and techniques to lead effective ServSafe Alcohol™ training.
