Information and Resources on H1N1 Outbreak
The Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA) is closely watching and monitoring information as the H1N1/swine flu outbreak evolves. The National Restaurant Association (NRA) has taken a series of steps to monitor, respond to and communicate with our members on this developing situation.
While wanting to avoid contributing to some apparent hysteria over the issue, the MRA knows that safe and sanitary preparation and service of food and beverages is our number one goal, and we all have a role to make sure the public is safe.
The NRA is coordinating closely with all major federal agencies who are involved in monitoring and responding to this outbreak: the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Agriculture, Commerce and more. The MRA is working with state and local public-health and agriculture officials as well.
