MRA Member Alert! Michigan is considering a tax on all alcoholic drinks!
Attention all liquor licensees! Your state representative needs to hear from you today!
On Wednesday, the state House Tax Policy Committee conducted a hearing on a bill to allow cities, townships and counties to levy taxes of up to 50 cents per drink on alcoholic beverages.
MRA opposes the bill and was at the hearing to provide testimony to the committee. No vote was conducted, but another hearing is planned for next week.
Call your state representative today and urge them to oppose House Bill 5059!
