Michigan
Restaurant Association Elects Certified Executive Chef Mary Brady to Board of
Directors
LANSING – The Michigan Restaurant
Association (MRA) announced the election of a new member to its Board of
Directors: Mary Brady, certified executive chef and
co-owner of Diamond Jim Brady’s Bistro in Novi.
“Mary Brady is a highly respected
certified executive chef and Michigan restaurateur,” said Rob Gifford, president and chief executive officer of the
MRA. “We could not be happier that she
has joined our Board of Directors.” The MRA
Board of Directors is committed to assisting, representing, promoting and
educating the foodservice industry, said Gifford.
Mary’s
love of creative cooking has led her to many career successes, including
writing weekly food columns for HomeTown Newspapers, consulting institutional
food programs, and as an instructor for the highly regarded culinary program at
Schoolcraft College.
In 2002, Mary was named as one of Michigan's
95 Most Powerful Women by Corp. Magazine.
Mary
also oversees the catering division of Diamond Jim Brady's Bistro, Mary's
Custom Catering, which takes an original approach to each individual catering
presentation, employing her creativity, knowledge of food, and seasonal
ingredients.
Mary owns and operates Diamond Jim Brady’s with her
husband Tom.
