State Government Shutdown Would Halt Alcohol Deliveries

As you are likely aware, unresolved budget negotiations in Lansing may very likely lead to a shutdown of state government if an agreement is not reached by legislative leaders and the governor by September 30.

In the event that the government shuts down, all liquor licensees need to be advised that, as of Monday, the state will not allow any deliveries of beer, wine or distilled spirits by distributors.

Liquor licensees are advised to prepare as best as possible for this as soon as possible.
