There is still time to apply for the 2008 Faces of Diversity Award!

It is not too late to apply for the 2008 National Restaurant Association Faces of Diversity Award.

The restaurant industry employs more minority managers than any other industry. Women represent 55 percent of the restaurant workforce, and more than one-in-four of all foodservice managers are foreign-born. As the largest private-sector employer in the country, the industry provides career and employment opportunities for 12.8 million individuals.

To help the restaurant industry celebrate its successes and to inspire others, the National Restaurant Association, in partnership with PepsiCo Foodservice, will present two awards – the American Dream Award and the Inspiration Award – through the annual Faces of Diversity awards program.

If you or someone you know embodies the American dream or works for a restaurant company that has exhibited leadership and vision as an advocate of diversity, visit the Faces of Diversity website and apply for the award today.

The deadline to apply for the awards is January 25, 2008.

Founded in 1921, the Michigan Restaurant Association represents more than 4,500 Michigan foodservice establishments.  The foodservice industry plays an integral role in Michigan’s economy, employing more than 436,000 people and creating more than $11.3 billion in total annual sales.
