Michigan Restaurant Association Elects
Steve Preston to Board of Directors
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA) announced the election of a new member to its Board of Directors: Steve Preston, president of the Detroit division of U.S. Foodservice.
“We are thrilled that Steve Preston has joined the Board of Directors,” said Rob Gifford, president and chief executive officer of the MRA. “This industry will benefit with Steve’s new role because of his experience with food industry issues.” Gifford said the MRA Board of Directors is committed to assisting, representing, promoting and educating the foodservice industry.
Preston, a graduate of Michigan State University, started his career in 1990 as a sales representative for Kraft Foodservice in their Cleveland market. There he worked his way to the position of vice president of sales before coming to Detroit in 2004 to take the position of division president for U.S. Foodservice.
Steve and his wife, Amy, have three children.
