Schelde Enterprises opens Freshwater Lodge Restaurant in Waterford Township

GRAND RAPIDS - Inspired by the success of their Freshwater Lodge Restaurant in Traverse City, hospitality corporation Schelde Enterprises is nearing completion of a Freshwater Lodge in Waterford, MI. The restaurant opens April 11 for dinner, and lunch service begins April 23.

Located at 4000 Cass Elizabeth Lake Road, the lodge’s seating capacity is 280, along with a small lounge and outdoor patio area. The renovated site is the former home of Mitch’s, a landmark Waterford restaurant since 1986.

According to Scott Joling, Director of Operations for Schelde’s, “The company is focusing efforts on the east side of the state and the Waterford lake region was the perfect setting for this concept. We serve Great Lakes fish, wild game, and wood-fired steaks.”

“We were delighted to find Mitch’s” states Schelde’s President Barry Haven. “The owners happened to be retiring just as we were looking for property. The building was perfect for the lodge conversion and Tony and Joanne Mitchell feel good about the sale.”
