Local Restaurateur Named to Michigan Restaurant Association Board of Directors

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA) has named Milford restaurateur Jim Eggl to its statewide board of directors.

"I am very pleased to be elected to the Michigan Restaurant Association Board of Directors," Eggl said. "My experience in the hospitality industry across the Midwest and Canada has given me the opportunity to master many aspects of the foodservice business. I welcome the opportunity to share that knowledge as a Michigan Restaurant Association board member."

Eggl has enjoyed a long career in the hospitality and foodservice industry, starting in Stouffer's New York corporate offices. After eight years as Director of Canadian Operations for Magic Pan, he joined Westport Restaurants as Vice President of Midwest Operations. Soon after, he co-founded Hector & Jimmy's in Milford.

"The MRA is proud to welcome Jim Eggl to our board," said Rob Gifford, the association's executive director. "In addition to industry knowledge, Jim's extensive administrative experience will be of great benefit to the association and its members."

Founded in 1921, the Michigan Restaurant Association represents nearly 4,000 Michigan foodservice establishments. The foodservice industry plays an integral role in Michigan's economy, employing more than 300,000 people and creating $10.6 billion in annual sales. # # #
