McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant sales into Troy

TROY - When you think “fresh seafood,” what’s the first thing that pops into your mind? How about a restaurant with no freezer? That’s right, the restaurant poised to become Metro Detroit’s new favorite for fine seafood dining doesn’t have a freezer. That’s because McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, opening February 26th, is committed to offering the absolute freshest selection of seafood by flying in prime offerings twice daily from coastal waters around the world.

The menu selections constitute a seafood lover’s paradise, including Alaskan King Salmon, Oregon Petrale Sole, and Puget Sound Manilla Clams from the Pacific Northwest and Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab, Maine Lobster and Massachusetts Scrod from the East Coast.

“The menu changes daily in keeping with the McCormick & Schmick tradition of offering the finest, freshest seafood available,” says Executive Chef Mark Kelly.

The more than 9,200 square foot restaurant features classic, traditional dining. Wood-paneled rooms feature accents of hand-crafted stained glass ceiling and fixtures, brass accents, mosaic tile floors and private “snugs” – intimate dining booths that can accommodate parties of up to seven guests.

The restaurant seats up to 272 people, including 40 at the bar. Separate banquet rooms are equipped to accommodate meetings, receptions, and private parties for all occasions.

The expansive, cigar-friendly bar will become a favorite gathering place with its assortment of imported and domestic drafts, microbrews, spirits and wines. McCormick & Schmick’s extensive offering of speciality single-malt scotches will provide one of the largest selections in the area. Hand-shaken drinks are crafted with a traditional mixology that incorporates freshly squeezed juices in insure freshness. The restaurant’s bar menu includes $1.95 food specials, another McCormick & Schmick’s hallmark.

McCormick & Schmick’s opens to the public on Monday, February 26th, beginning with lunch. The restaurant is located at 2850 Coolidge Highway in Troy.
