Bolles Harbr Cafe’ recently was ranked second in the top five best new restaurants to open in Michigan by readers of Michigan Living, the official publication of AAA Michigan.

The category was among several in the magazine’s annual “Michigan’s Best Treasures” awards, which are chosen based on the number of reader nominations.

Owners Georgianna and Silverio Conte said they considered the ranking “a tremendous honor.”

“Our goal is to serve the freshest product available with the highest level of customer service, in a truly unique and comfortable environment,” Mr. Conte said. “We want our guests to have a wonderful eating experience.”

The business opened in late 1999 at 13986 LaPlaisance Road and was the fulfillment of a dream by the husband and wife team that own it.

It’s decorated with a nautical theme, reflecting their love of the water.

Its hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The restaurant also is open by appointment for private parties, meetings and other get togethers.

It also has catering services available for off-site meetings and events. The business may be contacted at 457-2233.
