MARSHALL - Marshall recently welcomed a new business in its downtown area. Following months of refurbishing, remodeling and decorating. Jade Garden Restaurant has proven to be a lovely addition to the business district.
Done in soft shades of mauve and green and featuring a bright light atmosphere, the restaurant has received the stamp of approval from local diners and visitors alike, who are calling Jade Garden a “nice place to eat.”
Accessories imported from New York City include a large mural featuring Chinese waterfalls, plus etched glass windows and room dividers. The largest of the glass panels, depicting a potted floral print, signifies peace and good luck.
Jade Garden features an afforable (with special low prices for children) varied menu offering traditional Chinese selections (some of them old family recipes) in the Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese styles and include lunch, dinner and a beautiful buffet.
Owner Yan Chuan Lin, who came to this country from China six years ago, has gained extensive experience in the food industry, working in family owned Chinese restaurants in New York City and most recently in St. Johns, Mich.
When he and his wife, Karen Liu, decided to open their own business, they chose Marshall for its “good location and nice downtown.”
Jade Garden is located at 206 W. Michigan Ave. For take-out, call 789-8811 or fax 789-8822.
