TO:       Southeast Michigan Restaurants

RE:       Water Restrictions Lifted

As of 3:00 p.m. today, water use restrictions have been lifted for restaurants within the Detroit Water and

Sewerage Department.  All restaurants which have been closed may resume operations.

Before resuming normal water use, health officials have asked that restaurants:

·                    Flush all water lines, letting water run for 10-15 minutes until the water is running clear and you can smell chlorine;

·                    Discard all ice;

·                    Clean and sanitize all equipment.
