Investing in the Future of Our Industry The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation is committed to making sure the restaurant and foodservice industry has the workforce it needs for the future. And you are the industry's future. The NRA has set aside more than $1 million in scholarships. $2,000 scholarships will be given to high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to continuing their restaurant and foodservice education and to pursuing a career in the industry. Am I Eligible? You must: - Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Have performed at least 250 hours of foodservice-related work experience, verified by pay stubs or letters from employers.
- Have been accepted at a foodservice-related post-secondary program (full or part time), and plan to enroll in at least two terms for the next school year, verified by a copy of your acceptance letter.
- Submit a letter of recommendation on letterhead from a current or previous employer.
How Can I Apply? Eligible students can get a scholarship application by calling 800-765-2122, ext. 733. You also can e-mail your request to the NRA Educational Foundation, or download the application from the Foundation web site.
