Attention MRA members
The Michigan Restaurant Association has made it easier for members to access and participate in our endorsed Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) program.
All licensed BCBS agents have the ability to write new groups or BCBS groups into the MRA’s health care plan. By allowing any BCBS agent in Michigan access to the MRA group plan, our preferred agents can quote coverages for all aspects of your restaurant, including worker’s compensation, property-casualty, and health care insurance. Members who are currently enrolled with BCBS but are participating through another association plan or their local chamber of commerce just need to pick up the phone and contact your insurance agent to request to be rolled into the MRA’s BCBS plan. The MRA provides the best available Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage to our members. The plans available to members are tailored for small businesses that otherwise would pay higher premiums on their own. Members can choose among a portfolio of plans, including the Blue Traditional Plan, Blue Preferred (PPO) Plan and the Blue Care Network (HMO). In addition, plans can be customized to reduce costs even more. Many of our members have significantly reduced their business costs of health care by participating in this program.
