Michigan Restaurant Association Elects Jim Holton of Mt. Pleasant and Brad Keen of Harbor Springs to Board of Directors
The Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA) announced the election of two new members to its Board of Directors: Jim Holton of Mt. Pleasant, owner of the Mountain Town Station Brewing Company and Steakhouse; and Brad Keen, Vice President of Food and Beverage for Boyne USA Resorts.
“Brad Keen and Jim Holton bring a strong wealth of knowledge and experience in the food and beverage service industry to the MRA Board of Directors,” said MRA Executive Director Rob Gifford. “They are ready to and able to serve this industry as members of the board.”
Holton, in addition to Mountain Town Station, has opened other establishments such as Broadway Grille, Petticoat Junction, Centennial Hall and The Black Forest Brau Kellar. His diverse career in the food and beverage service industry includes work as a restaurant consultant with J. Holton Management, Inc.
Keen oversees the food and beverage operations for Boyne USA, with annual foodservice sales surpassing $40 million annually in over 40 units. A 22 year veteran in the industry, Keen is excited about creating innovative ideas that evolve and enhance day to day restaurant operations.
The Board of Directors is the governing body for the MRA, and, according to Gifford, will lead the industry through a number of challenges in the next few years. “The Board of Directors is committed to maintaining the MRA’s status as the lead association in assisting, representing, promoting and educating the foodservice industry. Jim Holton and Brad Keen are truly up to the task.”
Founded in 1921, the Michigan Restaurant Association represents more than 4,500 Michigan foodservice establishments.
