What is the President's Dinner?
The annual President's Dinner is a traditional gathering of foodservice operators, suppliers and educators from across the State. We celebrate the accomplishments of our industry, the strength of our united voice, our growth in membership, and the leadership role we have taken on legislative/regulatory issues.

Where will it be held?
The event will be held on Wednesday, January 30th, 2002 at the Townsend Hotel, which is as intimate and enchanting as Birmingham itself. If you haven't been to Birmingham lately, plan to spend the day browsing through its boutiques and art galleries before the event.

What's the format?
Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. An elegant dinner will follow at which time outgoing and incoming Presidents of the MRA will be recognized. Our Teacher of the Year and Distinguished Service Awards will be presented as well.

How do I attend?
Single tickets are available for $125. A table of eight is $950, and a table of ten is $1,150. Call the MRA at 800/968-9668 to reserve your tickets or register online

Overnight accommodations are available at the Townsend Hotel. Luxury King and Double rooms are $185, plus tax. Luxury Suites are $220, plus tax. Please make your reservations before January 9, 2002 by calling (800) 548-4172.

Industry Awards
The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) is the highest level of recognition given by the Michigan Restaurant Association. The award is presented annually to an individual who has provided steadfast leadership, outstanding service, and continuous commitment to the MRA and the Michigan foodservice industry.

Each year, we also select and honor an instructor for exemplary dedication in the training and education of our future leaders.

And lastly, 25 and 50 year members of the MRA will be presented a gift in appreciation of their commitment and support.
