On November 8, 2000, the Michigan Food Law of 2000 became effective. This is the first comprehensive re-write of Michigan's food and sanitation laws in more than 20 years. The new food law adopts, by reference, the provisions of the 1999 FDA Model Food Code. Go to the MDA web site for more information.
